Strategic Business Development Manager | POS | Homebased | £negotiable on experience

The Strategic Business Development Manager for POS, is responsible for identifying and engaging with new clients to deliver profitable growth.  This fantastic Sales role will involve appointment setting with face-to-face meetings and presentations with new clients.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of new business from qualifying the opportunity and managing the opportunity through all stages of the pipeline to a successful outcome.

A bit more about the Business Development Manager opportunity:

  • Deliver quarterly budgeted new business meetings and sales targets.
  • Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims and targets including managing the product/service/mix, pricing and margins.
  • Create, agree and update a sales plan according to an agreed development strategy, including the development of prospect base using CRM tools and any or own network base.
  • Deliver agreed growth target for the financial year. 
  • Hold and record, new business meetings each month the target amount to be agreed with your line manager and should be included in your plan. 
  • Manage handover of all enquiries and client briefs to the internal team, including detailed specifications ensuring clear process and accuracy.

About the successful Strategic Business Development Manager

  • Excellent strategic sale capabilities
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of POS/Shopper Marketing/DM/Digital Print
  • Self-motivated with a flexible attitude and able work alone or part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook and utilise MI systems
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving
